The whole world stood still for the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle which took place yesterday the 19th of May at St.George’s Chapel, Windsor castle. Those of us who couldn’t attend were glued to our tv screens, watching it live.
Unless you don’t have access to the internet or you live in a cave, you’d have seen a couple of pictures of the royal wedding by now. But just in case you haven’t, I decided to share some pictures on here.
Meghan Markle was escorted down the aisle by her father-in-law Prince Charles instead of her own father.
The bride started out her walk down the aisle solo, before meeting Charles halfway to the altar.
The Wedding Dress
The Duchess decided to wear Givenchy for her Wedding ceremony. The creator was Clairewaight Keller who last year became the first female Artistic Director at the historic French fashion house, Givenchy.
Furthermore, Meghan wished to have all 53 Commonwealth countries with her through her journey through the ceremony so Miss ClaireWaight Keller designed a veil representing the distinctive flora of each Commonwealth country united in one spectacular floral composition.
Meghan wore Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara, which was lent to her by the Queen. The diamond bandeau is English and was made in 1932, with the entire brooch dating from 1893.
The pictures are just too many to post, so I’ll just stop here.
It was indeed a beautiful wedding from the guest’s outfits to the awesome choir ministrations to the powerful preaching by Bishop Michael Curry of the Episcopal Church.
